Roasted hazelnut spread with xylitol and cocoa
Why did we choose xylitol?

Xylitol, i.e. birch sugar, is a healthy and safe substitute of white sugar. Xylitol does not ferment, creating alkaline environment and effectively neutralizing the harmful effects of acids. The unquestionable advantage of birch sugar is its capability of increasing the absorption of minerals by the body and the prevention of tooth decay and gum disease. It supports the immune system by increasing the protective barrier against viruses and bacteria. It contains 38% less calories than sugar, additionally has a low glycemic index (IG = 8). Keep in mind… xylitol should be introduced gradually. Consumption in excessive amounts may cause a laxative effect. We recommend that you gradually increase your daily portion - starting with 2-3 teaspoons. Your body will start to produce enzymes to digest it… we know that such a nutritional regime will be very tough in that case :)

What kind of xylitol do we use?

We use Finnish xylitol in our spread. It is wood origin, non-GMO xylitol. Our manufacturer of xylitol can boast of being the purest xylitol producer in the world.

Why are we adding lecithin?

We use non-GMO sunflower lecithin as a natural emulsifier to make our spread maintained its appearance and nutritional values throughout the whole shelf life. Sunflower lecithin has a favorable profile of phospholipids, which has a positive effect on the brain activity and nervous system. It also contributes to maintenance of the fat metabolism, which improves the functioning of the liver.

Does the spread contains gluten?

No, our spreads have no added gluten. We use ingredients gluten-free, of which manufacturers declare that they cannot be crossed contaminated with it.
